Orbifs is built by Archi Systems AS in Oslo, Norway. We make one thing well: a project file system for teams that move heavy CAD, BIM, point-cloud and media files — hosted in Europe, sold directly, and described honestly.
Cloud storage is mainstream in Europe — that isn’t the opportunity. The opportunity is that generic cloud drives are a poor fit for heavy professional project files. Teams hit the same wall again and again: slow VPN access to the office NAS, sync conflicts from Dropbox and SharePoint, no safe file locking, painful client delivery, and no reliable recovery when ransomware strikes.
Orbifs exists to close that gap with a focused product rather than another general-purpose drive. Project files should open like local files, lock safely across the team, keep recoverable versions, and stay under European control — without a VPN and without fragile sync.
Hybrid and multi-office work has become permanent. NAS hardware is reaching end of life. Cyber-insurance and EU security frameworks such as NIS2 raise the bar on backup, recovery and access control. And client and procurement pressure for EU-hosted, Europe-controlled services keeps growing. Those forces point at one underserved need — and that need is what we build for.

We never claim a certification before it exists, and we don’t call ourselves a “fully sovereign cloud” until a verified package supports it. Items being finalised are marked, not hidden.

We deliberately decline segments we don’t serve well yet. Focus is the strategy — we’d rather be the right tool for heavy files than one more cloud drive.
